How do these plugs look? They're NGK laser iridiums. I have a set of Denso platinum TTs to replace them, but I'm understanding that iridium's go for a looong time. This is an 07 Accord with the i4, 73,000 miles.
Maybe swap them and keep the originals? Swap back if something is off?
I've only had this car for about 10,000 miles, and the MPGs I feel are not near where they should be.

the plugs look fine...might be gapped wrong?
other wise, for fuel econ check:
tire pressures
oil/oil filter
air filter
maybe run some injector cleaner and a tank of good gas
run an italian tune up maybe?

they look fine to me actually. A little blow by build up but nothing bad at all. Both electrodes seem good. Don't worry about that browning on the insulator. For MPG concerns, see tires , air filter, fuel filter, etc. If it's not misfiring, your good.

FYI iridium plugs are not supposed to be gapped. They can be damaged. So if the gap is wrong they need to be replaced.
